Lady Ruth Design is a place to share ideas about home life with an emphasis on design and decoration. I look at design from an art as therapy approach. My intention is to encourage harmony in the home through visual and narrative appeal. My goal is to increase the usage of decor as items that evoke thoughtfulness and emotional well-being.

Lady Ruth Design also features easy to do home upgrade projects, recipes for a healthy life style, garden ideas, travel stories, and sewing tutorials.

I’m Leslie, creator of Lady Ruth Design. I like to contemplate beauty and the way it effects our lives. My degree is in European Humanities from San Diego State University. I think travel is the best way to create inner and world peace. I have lived and worked in major cities including San Diego, Portland, Paris, and Tbilisi. On my days off I like to be inspired by nature; you could find me hiking in the Sierra Nevada or gardening in my own backyard. My grandmother taught me to sew. My first love is my family.
